New Arrival - The Baby Tie Teether for Boys!

Since we started the business back in 2015 we have looked at and sourced so many different incredibly useful and amazing products and have worked with some awe inspiring entrepreneurs, it has always been a dream of mine to put some of the crazy ideas that pop into my head into reality and one of the good things to come out of a covid lockdown was that I had the opportunity to do just that.

Baby teething is, has and always will be painful for the baby and for ‘us’ parents to endure and watch our little ones in pain and discomfort, We sold the Mouthie Mitten very well for a successful American entrepreneur and the concept of a teether that didn’t fall on the floor was the magic ingredient for me as I remember too well the awkwardness of dropping the teethers on the floor and then having to sterilise them again before use or more annoyingly kept losing them every time we ventured outside the house.

It was this concept of not dropping the teether that the idea of the ‘Baby Tie Teether’ was born, I also love the cuteness of a little one wearing a tie!

We contacted one of the factories that produce products for our other successful companies and suggested the idea, with my 30 year old GCSE art knowledge I drafted some drawings of how I wanted it to look and clicked send on the first email, within a few weeks we had many emails flying around the world and discussed everything from fabric, length, how it would clip on safely, the stimulating crinkle noise it would make and the quality for the BPA free medical grade silicone we would use, for the teething chew at the end, 3 weeks later the first prototype sample arrived at my door. It looked great and to have a product that I had designed and would carry our brand name was very exciting.

The coming weeks were a huge learning curve, product labels and red tape we had to muster through, but we did it. Then came the official testing, too many products for babies are available on the cheap and I was adamant that our product would have full UK and EU testing certificates, this is not cheap and more of a blow to our first ever product plans but we went ahead, guess what – it failed the first round of testing! Not to be defeated and feel like we were pot committed with the amount of money we had spent, we re made the mould with the factory and produced samples two point zero – another 14 days of waiting and BINGO – we passed, with the highest standards and the product was safe, wearable and washable! Only 6 more weeks for production to wait, and then the pandemic played another part by increasing shipping costs to a near on unworkable figure but again we muddled through and finally got it on a boat, just another 28 days to wait to have our first ever product on the market  - sorry did I say 28 days, my mistake! Of course a freak Suez Canal blockage creates more havoc and causes us another delay (and more money!) but eventually in what felt like the longest year, the boat docked at Southampton and a week later our first foray into being a brand owner started and the product arrived at our warehouse.

SO as we launch this exciting new product the Worlds first wearable Baby Teether for Boys in a tie available in 2 colours, with a stimulating crinkle sound to entertain your baby and totally safe clip on functionality to clip to any baby grow or outfit your baby will not only look totally stylish but have an undroppable, unstoppable new baby teether to help sooth sore gums.

No one said it would be easy and I am wondering if the hard work is only just starting – but we are so proud of our first product and feel like this is going to be the first of many, so watch this space and please spread the word to help our little happy house grow!
